Cassey Zagala, Trainee
Supervised by Jeff, Beesley LMFT, 105525

Hi, I’m Cassey (kay-see) — I’m glad you’re here!

I’m a graduate student at Northwestern University pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Cognitive Science from UC Davis, where my passion for understanding people and their lived experiences began.

I’ve worked closely with college students and understand how complex and transformative this stage of life can be. Whether you’re navigating stress, identity, relationships, or major life transitions, I strive to create a space where you feel supported and encouraged to grow.

My approach is integrative, drawing from ACT, existential, and psychodynamic perspectives, with a focus on meaning-making—helping you explore what matters most and how you want to move forward. I also value the role of culture, identity, and spirituality in the healing process. As someone raised in a Filipino immigrant family, I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity into our work and welcome faith-based perspectives when they’re meaningful to you.

Above all, I aim to offer a space that feels not only safe, but brave—where you can be heard, understood, and supported in building a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
